Why We Exist

Honest Hardware, Straightforward Service

GamingComputer started because we kept seeing two things: online retailers with vague specs and inflated performance claims, and PC enthusiast forums that were genuinely helpful but required hours of research to navigate.

We don't think you need to become a hardware expert just to buy a decent gaming PC. Our approach is to configure honest systems at accurate prices, explain clearly what each component does and why it's in the build, and back it up with real warranty support.

We're not a large operation. We ship from Ottawa, serve customers across Canada, and take our time with each order. That means we don't promise overnight turnaround on custom builds — but it does mean the systems we send out are properly assembled and tested.

How We Work

Our Approach

Transparent Specs

Every system we list shows the actual part names and model numbers — not marketing tier names like "Ultra Gaming Processor." You should be able to look up every component independently before you buy.

Tested Before Shipping

Each system runs through a bench test before we pack it — checking component recognition, temperatures under load, and storage health. Systems with any flags get taken apart and corrected.

Real Support

Our support is handled by people who know the hardware in your system, not a third-party script. If you have a question after delivery, you'll get a real answer from someone who worked on the order.

History

How We Got Here

Early 2021

Started as a local build service

Daniel and Tom began assembling custom PCs for friends and local customers out of a small workspace in Ottawa. Word spread through gaming communities and the waiting list grew faster than expected.

Late 2021

First prebuilt configurations

After getting the same questions repeatedly, the team put together three standard configurations at common budget levels. These became the foundation for the current prebuilt lineup.

2022

Expanded to national shipping

The team worked out reliable packaging for tower systems and started shipping across Canada. Priya joined to handle growing customer communication volume and QA processes improved.

2023–2025

RTX 4000 and Ryzen 7000 generation

Updated the full lineup to the latest CPU and GPU platforms. Sam joined the team to handle dedicated testing. The interactive builder and quiz tools were launched to help buyers self-configure before contacting us.

The Team

Who We Are

Daniel Reyes

Lead Hardware Engineer

Daniel has been building computers as a hobby since high school and transitioned to doing it professionally when the demand made it viable. He makes component selection decisions and assembles most prebuilt units.

Priya Mehta

Customer Support Lead

Priya joined in early 2022 when the email volume had gotten unmanageable. She handles pre-sale consultations, order updates, and post-delivery support. She's also the person most likely to catch an issue before it becomes a problem.

Sam Okafor

QA & Testing

Sam runs the bench-testing process and maintains the testing documentation. Before joining, he worked in IT hardware support and brings a methodical approach to stress-testing that has saved several shipments.

Tom Ng

Logistics & Co-Founder

Tom co-founded the company with Daniel and took on operations and logistics as his primary focus. He's responsible for the packaging process, carrier relationships, and making sure the backend runs smoothly.
